  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 kg pork belly, chopped into large cubes
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomatoes, quarter sliced
  • 33 g banana pepper, (1 small 4" long)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup string beans, chop 2 inch lengths
  • 1/2 cup radish, sliced
  • 1/2 cup eggplant, diagonal slices
  • 20 g pack of sinigang mix
  • 1 cup kangkong

Sinigang na Baboy Recipe

  1. Sauté onion in preheated pot until layers separate.
  2. Add the pork. Cook until light brown.
  3. Add the tomatoes. Cook with pork and onions for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour the fish sauce. Continue cookng for another 2 minutes.
  5. When the pork has reached the desired tenderness, add water and stir. Boil with the lid on.
  6. After 2 minutes of boiling, add the banana pepper, string beans, and radish. Boil again.
  7. As soon as it boils, add the eggplant and sinigang mix. Simmer for 15 minutes with the lid on.
  8. Add the kangkong. Simmer for 5 minutes then turn heat off. Serve hot with rice. Enjoy your Pork Sinigang!
