- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 cup green peas

Chicken Afritada Recipe
- Sauté potatoes and carrots with cooking oil in preheated pot until slightly cooked but not browned.
- Remove the potatoes and carrots and set aside.
- In the same cooking pot, sauté the chicken in garlic and onion. Cook chicken parts evenly until light brown.
- Add the afritada mix after mixing and dissolving in water.
- Put back the previously slightly cooked potatoes and carrots. Mix all ingredients now in cooking pot.
- Wait until boiling and let 2 minutes of boiling then add the green peas.
- Turn down heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add the ground black pepper and the salt then simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Turn off heat and serve hot with rice. Enjoy your home cooked Chicken Afritada!
