  • 2 cups potato, quarter slices
  • 1/4 cup carrot, sliced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 kg fresh chicken, chopped
  • 35 g afritada recipe mix, (your choice brand)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup green peas

Chicken Afritada Recipe

  1. Sauté potatoes and carrots with cooking oil in preheated pot until slightly cooked but not browned.
  2. Remove the potatoes and carrots and set aside.
  3. In the same cooking pot, sauté the chicken in garlic and onion. Cook chicken parts evenly until light brown.
  4. Add the afritada mix after mixing and dissolving in water.
  5. Put back the previously slightly cooked potatoes and carrots. Mix all ingredients now in cooking pot.
  6. Wait until boiling and let 2 minutes of boiling then add the green peas.
  7. Turn down heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Add the ground black pepper and the salt then simmer for another 15 minutes.
  9. Turn off heat and serve hot with rice. Enjoy your home cooked Chicken Afritada!
